I see people all the time who take their brand new rep and send them off into “studyland”. It’s the kiss of death in your business when you enroll a new person and then ship them off to become an expert.
Don’t get me wrong, it’s super important for your new people to become highly educated and skilled at this business…but not on the first day! HELP THEM get a check and they will stick.
Your number one priority with your new rep is to help them make some money.
Don’t send them off to study. Don’t send them off to do it on their own. They will end up either totally paralyzed in “study” mode, or completely defeated because they’ve been sent out to do something they have never done before all alone.
The best thing you can do is ENGAGE with them. That means helping make calls, set appointments, go out on appointments, and present with them. Show them the ropes.
Show them how it’s done.
Don’t ship them.
