I get it. Cold Calling Sucks. Why though?
Does it work? Yes…of course it does. Then…why is it that calling sucks?
Most people don't want to have to “chase” business or be perceived as someone trying to “sell” something to someone. Nobody likes pushy people, and no one like being forced into something.
The cool thing is that you don't have to force people to do anything, and at the same time, you CAN be very effective actually engaging someone you don't yet know in conversation. We do it every day in our lives. But..the moment someone throw in the phrase, COLD CALLING, it sends shivers down their spine.
There's nothing worse than making a call as a network marketer and being “perceived” as a sales person calling from some phone room overseas, or them thinking you're someone who is simply trying to pitch them something. You need to take the upper-hand and know exactly how to handle calls to people you may not yet know.
I see people marketing stuff all the time about “Never Make a Cold Call Again” or “Stop Bugging your Friends and Family” when it comes to network marketing stuff.
Guaranteed…behind every one of those HEADLINES is a PITCH to sell you something. Not that it's a bad thing to sell stuff. It's what we do. But…they are FEASTING on your FEARS.
There is nothing at all wrong with a cold call. And…you NEVER have to be perceived as bugging your friends or family members if you simply learn to approach people properly.
