Tamlyn and Andrew SamuelIn this Fearless Networker Spotlight, we're featuring Tamlyn and Andrew Samuel a couple who have built a thriving Network Marketing business in four and a half years.  They are building a life for their family that they only once dreamed of and are excited to share their experience with you.

The Fearless Networker:  Tamlyn and Andrew, what were you two doing before you got involved in Network Marketing?

Tamlyn Samuel:  I was a professional dancer in London’s West End and traveled the world onboard a 6-star cruise ship until my career ended with a severe disk injury.

Andrew Samuel:  I enjoyed a lifetime career in hospitality circumnavigating the globe several times over, eventually finding myself onboard the same cruise ship where I met Tamlyn.  We emigrated to Australia, got married and started a family.

The Fearless Networker:  How did you first get introduced to the Network Marketing profession and what was that experience like?

Tamlyn Samuel:  My best friend, Scott Campbell, introduced me to the opportunity but I didn’t feel it was the right time in my life for the business so I said “no” for two years.  Once in Australia and no longer able to dance, it was an opportunity I just had to reconsider.  At this stage, my dear friend, Clare Cavele, had joined Scott in the business, so I jumped in and joined them both on the journey.

Andrew Samuel:  I watched Tamlyn and her journey from the very beginning, supporting her with this new venture, not at all thinking that one day I would play such an active role.  It was the transformation I had seen in Tamlyn that had compelled me to strongly consider getting involved.  Once I made the decision to join Tamlyn on her journey, we never looked back.

Tamlyn and Andrew SamuelThe Fearless Networker:  You never looked back; love it!  How long have you been involved in the Network Marketing profession and your current company?

Tamlyn and Andrew Samuel:  In the past four and a half years of being involved in Network Marketing, we've been with only one company.

The Fearless Networker:  How long did it take you to go from being a part-time Network Marketer to going full-time?

Tamlyn and Andrew Samuel:  One year into the profession we went full-time and started working as business partners.

The Fearless Networker:  How many people have you personally enrolled into your company?

Tamlyn and Andrew Samuel:  We have personally sponsored 115 consultants and preferred clients in our four and a half year journey.  And have 12 direct leaders heading straight for the top!

The Fearless Networker:  What is the current size of your organization?

Tamlyn and Andrew Samuel:  We have an incredible organization growing in seven countries with over 5,000 consumers.

The minute we disconnected from the emotion of rejection, we were not attached to the outcome and, therefore, our business soared!

Tamlyn and Andrew SamuelThe Fearless Networker:  What was your biggest struggle on your way to achieving success in this profession, and how did you overcome it?

Tamlyn and Andrew Samuel:  What people thought of us.  But, when we realized people's opinions of us were none of our business and certainly not paying the bills, we overcame that.

The Fearless Networker:  I hear that one often.  What, if anything, was your biggest fear as you started your Network Marketing career?

Tamlyn and Andrew Samuel:  Not knowing anyone in Australia was a huge fear but, mastering cold market prospecting was our absolute mission.

The Fearless Networker:  And based on the results, I believe you have mastered cold market prospecting.  When it comes to team building, what have been some of the most effective actions you’ve taken?

Tamlyn and Andrew Samuel:  We love all of our organization and at times have tried to help them too much to be like us.  Once we empowered them as individual business owners, they owned their own journey and magic happened.

Friendships are important to us as well as loving the team where they are at.  It's important to know that we are friends but, we are also their leaders.  So, respecting these boundaries is the key for true growth and leadership.

We also had a lightbulb moment and realized that it's important to know what fills their cup, so to say, whether it be gifts, nice words, etc.  Once you know your team well enough, you can lead them the right way.

Tamlyn and Andrew SamuelThe Fearless Networker:  What does your typical day look like in terms of what you do in your business?

Tamlyn and Andrew Samuel:  On a normal day, we wake up at 5:30 a.m. and do our miracle morning power hour of personal development, exercise and affirmations.  We then look after our son Ethan, have breakfast as a family and take him to school as a family.  We work while he's at school, doing 1-1 meetings, product drop offs; this is our income producing activity time.  We pick Ethan up after 3 p.m. then we have family time until after dinner.  Once he's asleep, we will then be in the office hosting team calls, wrap up the day, and plan the next day, followed by meditation, personal development and a good night of sleep.

The Fearless Networker:  Sounds like a great day!  What have you found to be the most effective means of recruiting new distributors into your business, and how do you go about doing it?

Tamlyn and Andrew Samuel:  We grew to the top of our company utilizing the cold market.  Honestly, we  believe this is a great way to market as it stops the emotions connected to friends and family quitting, not performing, etc.  We have truly become very passionate about being out in public doing what we love and attracting like-minded people that way.

Tamlyn and Andrew SamuelThe Fearless Networker:  Are their any specific actions you’ve implemented into growing your business that you’ve found to be exceptionally productive?

Tamlyn and Andrew Samuel:  The top tip is to master your 60-second story and learn how to convert that into a 1-1 conversation presenting the opportunity and/or products.  Once this is mastered, you become excited about meeting people.

The Fearless Networker:  What’s one solid piece of advice that you’d give someone entering this profession for the very first time?

Tamlyn and Andrew Samuel:  Jump ALL IN!  Trust the system and don't look at your pay for the first year.  For 12 months commit to being and doing everything!  Then see where you are at 12 months later.  Sometimes people expect huge success in the first few months and when it doesn't happen they think it doesn't work.  You can't put a time limit on success, we are all different.

The Fearless Networker:  Very true.  How has being involved in Network Marketing changed your life?

Tamlyn and Andrew Samuel:  The direction of our lives has quite literally transformed beyond recognition.  The friends we have made and the people we know we are becoming inspires us each and everyday.  Our goals, our vision… knowing that we are well on track to living a life most only ever dream of…it's amazing!

The Fearless Networker:  What is your favorite business book of all time and why?

Tamlyn and Andrew Samuel:  Every new consultant gets a copy of Go Pro by Eric Worre.  This is the “bible” for all Network Marketers.  It was the book that changed the entire direction of our business.

Every prospect and new consultant gets a copy of The Four Year Career by Richard Bliss Brooke.  This book describes how the model works and the power of compounding.

The Slight Edge by Jeff Olson truly shows that the small things you do every single day DO count towards your long-term success.

The Success Principles by Jack Canfield has it all.  We ask all of our distributors to study this book and act on its principles.

Tamlyn and Andrew SamuelThe Fearless Networker:  Do you have any suggestions for people to ensure that they make Network Marketing a lasting and successful business to pursue for a lifetime?

Tamlyn and Andrew Samuel:  Be hungry!  Passion is everything.  By being driven with an incredible work ethic, people will want to join and follow you where you are going.  So when you decide to go for this, JUST DO IT and be coachable along the way.  Personal development is the key.  Without it, you will not have long-lasting success, as you need to grow yourself in order to grow into your wealth.

The Fearless Networker:  What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received that’s served you well in business?

Tamlyn and Andrew Samuel:  Run your business on MOTION not EMOTION.  Our job as Network Marketing professionals is to share the opportunity and the incredible products and/or service. We are to find the fit for the individual and let them make the decision.  Never convince because if you convince them to join, you will eventually be convincing them to stay.  Disconnect emotionally to the outcome.

“You can't put a time limit on success, we are all different.”  Tamlyn and Andrew Samuel

The Fearless Networker:  If you could share anything that would massively impact the people reading this, what would you say?

Tamlyn and Andrew Samuel:  Believe you are worth MASSIVE success in your company.  Make a “no matter what” decision and have a WHY so big that nothing will stop you, however bad the objections or rejections.

Own your journey; it's exactly as it should be right now.  And, never compare yourself to others.  The only person you can compare with is yourself.  If you are better than you were yesterday, then you are on the right track!

Become immersed in learning and growing yourself, invest in yourself and attend everything humanly possible.  Never miss events and plug in daily.  That's the key to keeping your belief tank full to the brim.  ACTIVITY is the KEY!  Without it, you are going nowhere.

The Fearless Networker:  Activity IS the key!  Great advice Tamlyn and Andrew.  Thank you for sharing your experience with us and continued success to you and your family.
