I was so hungry to create success for myself I soaked up everything.

• At all the local meetings…
• Read everything I could about the products and business…
• Listened to all the tapes (yes, kids we had cassette tapes back then).
• Attended all the conference calls…
• Followed all the leaders in my company…

Then one day I heard about this BIG EVENT happening in San Diego, CA.

I was really excited to hear about it…

One of the TOP leaders (who I respected greatly)… asked me if I'm going to the event.

My response was… “I'd like to, but I can't afford it”.

He stopped and looked me dead in my eyes and said something I'll never forget…

“Todd, leaders attend events!”

And then turned around and walked away (saying nothing else).

Here's what happened next…

My Path to Leadership and How it Changed Everything for Me

At this moment I knew that if I wanted to become a leader…

And really become successful in my business…

I had to get to that event.

Now, because I barely had two nickels to rub together…

I ended up sleeping in my car during that first event.

This experience changed my life.

I developed a deeper belief in the industry and company.

It was amazing and allowed me to step into a leadership role.

This was a long time ago… before all this technology stuff.
