Three Reasons Why People Won’t Buy from You

While there are certainly many reasons why someone will choose not to join you, do business with you, or buy from you…these three are entirely in your control.

If you're in any type of sales…traditional, direct selling, high ticket…whatever you're in, this should be very important to you.

If you aspire to be the very best at what you do, you should be asking yourself questions like this,

Why did that person NOT do business with me?
Why did they say “No” to me?
Why did they choose my competitor over me?
Is there anything I could have done differently?
How can I improve so I get a better result next time?

When you ask questions, you get answers.  And…if you're that aspiring person who demands excellence in your life, you're going to ask YOURSELF lots of questions.

Here's Three Primary Reasons Why People Won't Buy from You

#1.  Your Prospect Doesn't See you as Committed.

No one wants to join someone who is half-in and half-out.  You don't need to be a full time entrepreneur to attract someone into your business or to gain a new customer…but you MUST be committed.

How many of you reading this want to join someone sho is one foot in, and the other moving in a different direction?  Didn't think so!

The questions you gotta ask yourself is this.

Do they see me as committed?
How do my prospects perceive me?

And…honestly, people like working with THE BEST.  That's a tough one to swallow when you're not yet the best.  But…you can't let that stop you.  Everyone who is at the top was once at the bottom.

People want to know they'll be well-taken care of and in “good hands”.

You have to be IN the business for someone to come in with you.  As long as they see you as committed, you're moving in the right direction.

#2:  They Don't Like you or Trust you.

That sounds awful, doesn't it?

It's pretty hard to get business when that person doesn't even feel good about you.  And…while selling is not all about “making friends”…it certainly is about creating relationships where people feel good about you.

If you're trying to sell to a stranger don't expect it to be lightning fast.  After all…I barely know you!

If someone isn't comfortable with you, they aren't likely to give you money.

As you know…people buy from those they like and trust.  Without rapport, nothing is possible.  In the presence of rapport, anything is possible.

My suggestion is you study rapport building…and become a master at it!

#3:  You Simply Don't Ask.

I've trained traditional sales people and network marketers alike.  They get to their prospect almost to the finish line (aka, the “close”) and then they fail to ask.

You get nothing unless you ask for it.   Don't assume someone is doing to join you just because you presented to them.  You need to ASK for their commitment.

I don't care how you do it as long as you DO IT!

Are you ready to get started?
When can I get back to you tomorrow?
How soon would you like to start making money in this?
Let's get you going…
If I sent you a video, would you watch it?

Don't be one of those people who lays down and takes a nap five yards before the finish line.  It's embarrassing.  Think about it.  You're in a race and you have the lead.  You literally have five more yards to go to win the race, but instead you lay down and take a nap.  You'd never do that.  So…don't do it here.

Ask.  Finish.  Build rapport.  Build that trust.  Be committed.

You'll make more sales…period.
