There is no better time of the year to reconnect with people than right now.
The holiday season creates a natural opening. People are reflective. They are thinking about their lives. They are reconnecting with old friends. They are more open to talking. They are more receptive to hearing from someone they haven’t spoken to in a while.
But too many network marketers put unnecessary pressure on themselves. They think every conversation needs to lead to a business discussion. And that pressure turns a simple reconnection into something heavy, awkward, or forced.
Do yourself a favor.
Take the business off your shoulders.
Remove the pressure.
Just be a good human being who actually cares.
The easiest and most effective way to build long-term success in this profession is to be someone who consistently nurtures relationships, without expecting anything in return.
This is something I have taught for years. It is a simple exercise, and it works every time.
Go through your phone or your contacts.
Scroll slowly.
Look for people you have not talked to in months or years.
Old teammates.
Old coworkers.
Old friends.
People you drifted from.
People you still think about but never reach out to.
Send them a message.
Not a pitch.
Not a script.
Not an invitation.
Just reconnect.
“Hey, I was thinking about you. How are you?”
The holidays make this feel natural, easy, and welcomed.
Get their updated information.
Have a short conversation.
Maybe schedule a time to catch up by phone.
Send them a Christmas card if you want to make it extra meaningful.
This is not about the business.
This is about being someone people genuinely like hearing from.
The irony is that when you take the pressure off and simply reconnect like a normal, caring human, opportunities naturally open up on their own. Not because you forced it, but because you nurtured the relationship.
Stop putting this off.
Stop telling yourself you will do it later.
