The Fearless Networker:  I have known Tom and Denice for a long time and am stoked to be featuring them in this Fearless Networker Spotlight! Share with us, how long you two been involved in the Network Marketing profession?

Tom & Denice Chenault:  We've made the Network Marketing profession our career; 27 years for Tom and 16 years for Denice. 

The Fearless Networker:  How long have you been with your current company?

Tom & Denice Chenault:  We've been actively involved with our current company for 18 years.

The Fearless Networker:  Wow, 18 years…that's commitment!  During that time, how many people have you two personally sponsored?

Tom & Denice Chenault:  During the past 18 years we've sponsored over 500 individuals.

Tom & Denice ChenaultThe Fearless Networker:  What is the current size of your organization?

Tom & Denice Chenault:  Currently, we have about 80,000 active members and over 700,000 total.

The Fearless Networker:  Those are some SERIOUS numbers!  What was the biggest lesson learned on your way to achieving success in this awesome profession?

Tom & Denice Chenault:  Understanding that success has nothing to with US…it was always, and is always, about lifting OTHER people. 

The Fearless Networker:  So true.  Did you have any fear or hesitation when you started your Network Marketing career?

Tom & Denice ChenaultTom and Denice Chenault:  Absolutely!  We were afraid of what our friends would say.

The Fearless Networker:  That is a common fear.  You two are career Network Marketers.  Can you please share how being involved in this profession has changed your lives?

Tom & Denice Chenault:  We have TOTAL freedom…time, health and money.  But most of all, it has let us stay passionate about life.  All day.  Every day.

The Fearless Networker:  What’s one solid piece of advice you’d give someone entering this profession for the very first time?

Tom & Denice Chenault:  Follow someone going somewhere, no matter how far upline you have to go!

Tom & Denice ChenaultThe Fearless Networker:  Are their any specific strategies or actions that you’ve implemented into growing your business that you’ve found to be exceptionally productive?  If so…can you share a bit about them?

Tom & Denice Chenault:  We lead by example.  And, work it “old school” which means we interview at-least two people a day, make three-way calls with our upline, host home meetings, weekly meetings, and conduct monthly trainings.

The Fearless Networker:  Where have you found your biggest success in recruiting new people into your organization?  And…can you share your strategy?

Tom & Denice Chenault:  We use something called the Coffee Shop Interview where we figure out what people want in their lives…and what they don’t want.  We listen to them then reiterate what they shared.  Listening to and understanding people's dislikes and desires.  It's as simple as that.

The Fearless Networker:  Do you have any suggestions for people to ensure that they make Network Marketing a lasting and successful business to pursue for a lifetime?

Tom & Denice Chenault:  Stop at NOTHING to get trained right.

Tom & Denice ChenaultThe Fearless Networker:  A great suggestion!  When it comes to building your team, what have been some of the most effective actions you’ve installed?

Tom & Denice Chenault:  Recognizing who the leaders are and letting them lead.  We stopped micromanaging a long time ago.

The Fearless Networker:  Curious, what is your favorite business book of all time?

Tom & Denice Chenault:  “Raising a Giant; A Book About Becoming a Leader in Network Marketing” by Bob Crisp.

The Fearless Networker:  What’s the best piece of advice you’ve EVER received that you've applied to your business.

Tom Chenault:  I've got this one!  It went like this, “Tom, you think you are something special.  And, until you learn to make it about THEM instead of yourself, you are going to fail.”   Hated the guy who said that.  He was so right!

Denice Chenault:  Let no one steal your passion.  Make your WHY the first thing you think of in the morning and the last thing you visualize at night.
