Alright, today we're going to talk about how to taproot… and build depth in your network marketing organization.
When we're first building our business, it begins with prospecting. I like to call this… phase one. Here's the thing, phase one never stops.
We're always leading by example and SHOWING our team the activities they should also be doing… on a consistent basis. So, keep in mind, we're always doing phase one.
Now, the second thing we do a lot of is TEAM BUILDING and working with our organization. I want to talk about tap-rooting and building depth in your business.
I like to call this… making the organization grow. It's funny, most people who get involved in this industry HOPE their business will grow.
I'm going to share with you today how to MAKE IT grow, using this strategy called tap-rooting.
Did you know that you're responsible for growing your team? If you think about it, it's kinda of cool. This means you control how fast, and how big you want to build it.
Here's the thing everyone misses when they start to work with their team. They stop prospecting. This is the kiss of death to their business and they don't even know it.
So, what you want to do is keep prospecting (like I said above, we're always in phase one). We want to ALSO start tap-rooting... and developing people in our organization who are starting to move.
You want to do these TWO things and practice getting really good at them.
1) You'll need to understand your compensation plan, enough to rank advance. In this episode of the podcast, I cover the specifics on this in detail.
2) You'll want to dig deep into your genealogy report. This means you're keeping an eye on what's happing within your organization.
You'll want to look for what I call… POCKETS of activity. Who's building their business? Who's rank advancing? This is how I want you to start thinking. These are the questions you want to start asking yourself.
Now, if you see someone building and they're out of your pay levels, you still want to connect with these people. Reach out to them and introduce yourself, even if they're out of your pay line.
Now, you might be thinking… “Todd, I'm not going to get paid on these people”. This is SMALL thinking! You want to develop and build the relationship.
People quit all the time in this industry. You want to build strong relationships with productive people. This way the door is always open in the future for you. I touch more on this in the podcast episode.
