One Surefire Way To Get New People In Action

The Story Of My Son And The Electric Mower
To illustrate my point with this quick training, I will share the highlights of a story I tell in the video above. This relates entirely to moving your new reps into action. Here’s the story.
The other day I asked my son to mow our yard. This was something he’d never done before, so he was a little surprised when I asked him to do this. The first thing I did was take him into the garage where the mower is. I showed him how to take the mower out of the place I keep it. It’s a little tight, and there’s some maneuvering needed to get it out. Once we had it out, I showed him where the battery was and how to plug it into the mower. We’ve got an electric mower, and there are a few things you need to know when using it. We spent a few minutes while I showed him how to start and use the mower. Then I showed him how to start mowing. I mowed a little bit of grass, and it was his turn. As he began mowing, I watched him and gave him a few pointers to speed things up. Before you know it, he was doing a great job mowing.

Now, did you notice what I did there? I didn’t just tell my son to mow the yard. I SHOWED him how to mow the yard. This is the same approach we want to have with all our new people getting into the business. Question for you: How hands-on are you with helping new distributors in your business? After reading (and watching) this training, I highly recommend implementing this strategy of SHOWING and not telling. Here’s the thing…If you want more people to take action, you must get involved with them. This means showing them how to do the business and not just telling. Create a new rep action plan. So, you and your team members know exactly what to do when a new member comes aboard. T
