There's no better time than the present to be talking about wealth creation. RIGHT NOW is the ideal time to be looking at your current financial situation: your net worth, your assets, your retirement savings, and see how far you are. How much money do you have set aside?
I'm no wealth guru, but I do know that it is incredibly important to put money away for the future, and it doesn't take someone who is in “guru” status to understand the vital importance of it, and act accordingly.
Everyone needs “rainy day” money, because storms always come and you can most certainly count on rain in your life. Not to be all doom and gloom…that's simply a reality, and yet another reason to focus on wealth creation now.
And…everyone should be focusing on socking away and investing money for their retirement. At age 48, I know how important it is. The older you get, the more looming it becomes.
Here's my advice. Take it or leave it.
If you're young, start today. Don't wait. It's foolish, and you'll regret it later in life.
If you're older and you think it's too late, start today. There's no time like the present.
I've read a whole slew of books on the subject.
My Top Seven Books on Wealth Creation:
7. The Richest Man in Babylon by George S. Clason
This book is a collection of parables set in Ancient Babylon. It's an interesting and easy read, and an absolute must for anyone's library if they're seeking true wealth in their life. It begins with this simple philosophy.
6. Money: Master the Game by Tony Robbins
This new book by Tony does an incredibly good job of laying out in detail (7 Steps to be exact) how to go about creating wealth in your life. The first step in that is getting in the game. Go read it.
5. Ready, Fire, Aim: Zero to $100 Million in No Time Flat by Michael Masterson
If you've ever wanted to scale your business (aka make it multiply in size), this is a for sure part of your reading and learning arsenal. Masterson crushes it out of the park with this book.
4. Science of Getting Rich by Wallace D. Wattles
This book was written in 1910 and is still in print. That should be enough information for you to go invest 7 bucks to get it. Wattles wrote an All-Time Classic with this one.
3. Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill
This was the very first book I ever read on creating success and abundance in my life. Again…this is one of those books that should be on the shelves of every single human being seeking wealth and success in their life.
2. Seven Years to Seven Figures by Michael Masterson
Masterson does an exceptional job in this book of specifically laying out how to accumulate 7-figures in seven years. I always judge a book by it's cover and title. The title speaks for itself, and the content delivers.
- The Millionaire Next Door by Thomas J. Stanley
This should be required reading for everyone in network marketing. There's so much peacocking in this business, it's ridiculous. For some reason, network marketers feel like they have to “show” their money or prove to people they are actually making it. The Millionaire Next Door will surprise the heck out of you if you've never read it.
There you go. That's my TOP 7 list. The great thing about books is they are easy to acquire. There's no excuse for not picking these up and putting them in your personal development library.
