Debbie SchneiderIn this Fearless Networker Spotlight, we're featuring Debbie Schneider a former corporate trainer who discovered her dreams through Network Marketing.  With a thriving organization of 100,000 Debbie shares her story of achieving one's dreams.

The Fearless Networker:  What were you doing before you got involved in Network Marketing?

Debbie Schneider:  Before Network Marketing, I was in the corporate world working as a corporate trainer.

The Fearless Networker:  How did you first get introduced to the Network Marketing profession and what was that experience like?

Debbie Schneider:  Many years ago I was introduced to Network Marketing through vitamins and nutrition.  I found some great, unique products and didn't even know they were from a Network Marketing company.  Then, 10 years ago I was introduced to the business concept.  I've always had the desire to own a business and thought, “Wow, what a business plan!”

The Fearless Networker:  How long have you been involved in the Network Marketing profession?

Debbie Schneider:  I believe it has been 10 years.  That is including the dabbling with products and learning that there was a business model.

The Fearless Networker:  Years or time with your current company?

Debbie Schneider:  It has now been almost eight years with my current company.

Debbie SchneiderThe Fearless Networker:  If you are full time, how long did it take for you to go from being a part-time Network Marketer, to taking the leap and going full-time?

Debbie Schneider:  My career changed and the corporation I was working for could no longer afford my check.  So, three months after joining a Network Marketing company, I lost my job and my husband had lost his job six months prior.  There was no severance pay for either of us.  I was offered another job quickly but, would have to move to a big city.  At that moment I drew a line in sand, committed to my dream of building my Network Marketing business into a full-time career and said, “We're going to the top!”

The Fearless Networker:  How many people have you personally enrolled into your company?

Debbie Schneider:  I have enrolled approximately 265 individuals.

The Fearless Networker:  What is the current size of your organization?

Debbie Schneider:  The current size is approximately 100,000.

The Fearless Networker:  What, if anything, was your biggest struggle on your way to achieving success in this profession, and how did you overcome it?

Debbie Schneider:  I had the same struggles as everyone else….fear, dream stealers, and procrastination.  Plus, I was a rookie.  I became the biggest student I could be!  I studied from legends like you Todd and learned the Network Marketing profession by doing.

The Fearless Networker:  What, if anything, was your biggest fear as you started your Network Marketing career?

Debbie Schneider:  My biggest fear was probably, “What are people going to think?”  But, I shook that off and said, “I know in my life…..it doesn't matter what you do, some people will love ya, some will call you crazy and on my dying day…..it doesn't matter what they ever thought.  Time to posture up, bigtime!”

The Fearless Networker:  When it comes to “team building” what have been some of the most effective actions you’ve taken to help your team grow?

Debbie Schneider:  Plan, execute, listen, care, lock arms, lead with your heart and don't worry about the paycheck.  Build leaders, teach your team to teach and create an amazing culture along the way.

The Fearless Networker:  What does your typical day look like in terms of what you do in your business?

Debbie Schneider:  Well, most importantly treat your business as the million dollar business it is, even when the paychecks are only $100, $200, $300 a week.  Lead from the front and always be recruiting.  Put the work in and you will reap the rewards.

My typical day starts with intention and discipline in the office prospecting and following up.  I talk and work with leaders, make 3-way calls, participate in Zooms and practice income-producing activities.  At night, depending on the country, I engage in lots of team Zooms and business opps.  At this point in my business, with large teams everywhere, I do travel a lot; it was big part of my vision and dream.

Debbie SchneiderThe Fearless Networker:  What have you found to be the most effective means of recruiting new distributors into your business, and how do you go about doing it?

Debbie Schneider:  I learned to meet people so strangers became my warm market; every friend was a stranger before becoming your friend, right?  I burned out most of my warm market initially in my first venture so I learned to make friends, be sincere and be a great listener.

The Fearless Networker:  Are their any specific practices you’ve implemented into growing your business that you’ve found to be exceptionally productive?

Debbie Schneider:  My daily discipline is to put two pennies in my pocket.  Those two pennies represent two new people in which to meet.  Before going to bed, I make sure I've moved those two pennies over to my other pocket, therefore, achieving my daily intention.  You will never ever run out of contacts….ever!

Build event to event with a sense of urgency, no matter if the event is a coffee meeting or business opportunity meeting.  Commitment, discipline and action is the key!

“Put the work in and you will reap the rewards.”  Debbie Schneider

The Fearless Networker:  What’s one solid piece of advice that you’d give someone entering this profession for the very first time?

Debbie Schneider:  Build your belief in yourself, your company, its products and the profession.  Do that by developing team leaders, attending company events, Network Marketing events, reading and continuing education.  Become bulletproof!

Debbie SchneiderThe Fearless Networker:  How has being involved in Network Marketing changed your life?

Debbie Schneider:  It has changed everything!  We live every dream we ever dreamt.  We wake up without an alarm clock and we spend time with people we really care about.  The money is incredible but we now live life with purpose and really feel we make difference in others lives…teaching them to believe in themselves and bring out their greatness.

The Fearless Networker:  What is your favorite business book or books of all time, and WHY?

Debbie Schneider:  Oh my, I could go on and on.  But, when started my business bible was The Success Principles by Jack Canfield.  That book was exactly what I needed as every principle made sense; it was a game changer for me.

The Fearless Networker:  Do you have any suggestions for people to ensure that they make Network Marketing a lasting and successful business to pursue for a lifetime?

Debbie Schneider:  Learn it, get the skills and do what you have to in order to learn as you earn. Put action into your business…full-on.  I didn't say full-time, I said full-on!  Meaning, if you have 15 hours a week for the first year, give it the BEST 15 hours of income-producing activities you can. And, don't quit or get distracted.

Debbie SchneiderThe Fearless Networker:  What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received that’s served you well in business?

Debbie Schneider:  The thing that will get in your way is YOU…the six inches between ears.  That unnecessary chatter which, most of the time, is not good.  Delete and replace with positive, great thoughts.  You are 100% responsible for your life and results.  Get it done!

The Fearless Networker:  If you could share anything that would massively impact the people reading this, what would you say?

Debbie Schneider:  If I can do this, a small town gal with no experience, then anyone can.  But, you have to get that burning desire and really pull out your greatness.  We all have it inside and can do whatever we set our minds to do.  Don't sit back and watch others live their dreams…come along for the ride. It is amazing!

The Fearless Networker:  Great nuggets!  Thanks for sharing your story Debbie.
