Getting Over Your Fear Of Prospecting

Let’s quickly talk about fear.

More specifically, the fear of prospecting.

As I continue to review the surveys that have come in from my coaching group, this is another big one.

Many network marketers suffer from this fear of prospecting.

This fear can be crippling and cause people to retreat from building their business altogether.

The First Step To Becoming A Fearless Networker

How do we eliminate this fear of talking to people about network marketing?

Good question.

Here’s the thing, to understand…

We must get rid of this fear of prospecting to succeed in this business.

I believe if you’ve decided to do this business for the long term, you must be able to talk with people.

Heck, this skill is needed regardless of the business you’re involved in.

So, how do we get rid of this fear of prospecting?

Well, it all starts with this…

You can’t get rid of the fear if you’re always running away from it.

Look, when I first started in this business over 30 years ago, I had a tremendous amount of fear prospecting.

Here’s what I did to overcome this fear.

The Simple Process For Overcoming Your Fear

The first thing I did was decide to make network marketing a career.

Once I made this decision, the next step was to educate myself about the business.

It started with prospecting.

I’m a slow learner because it took me almost two years to sponsor my first person in the business.

So, if I can do this, you can too!

Here’s what I recommend:

First, start educating yourself on everything related to prospecting.

I have a few resources for you.

The second step in this process is talking to one person each day.

Practice what you learned from my resources.

The more action you take, the more confident you’ll become at prospecting.

See, confidence comes from competence.

Competence comes from taking action daily.

I know at first it will still seem scary, it’s ok.

Keep pushing through, starting small (remember to talk with one person a day.)
