Now, we can't control what corporate does, so we want to focus on what we can control. When I was building back in the day, I ended up building out six companies to the top of their pay plans.
I've built six super-successful teams and will share with you how you can take these "magic-powers"... and use them in your network marketing business to build a BIG team.
It all starts with YOU! You taking ownership of your business and your team. You leading by example and SHOWING (by action) to your team members how to do this business.
The first thing is to start COMMUNICATING with your team members, using this little "RULE" I came up with.
Communication is the KEY to Keeping Your Team Together
One of the things I would do is the 7-day rule. This means I would not go over seven days without communicating with my team member I was working with.
You want to stay in constant communication with them. I'm taking about digging in and getting to know this person, their family. What are their goals, dreams and desires. This is the glue that keeps things together when obstacles come up.
You're going to be working with this person for a long time, and it's so important to enjoy who you're working with. Plus, when you develop that relationship, you'll get an insight into what drives them.
You can now use this information to help fuel them towards their goals in the business. The key here is to motivate by taking action with them and working together.
This is where true leadership is born. You taking action first and showing your team how to do this business. How to attract new people, introduce the company, etc.
The Success Path and Creating Real Leaders on Your Teams
It starts with getting their mind right about this business. There's a lot of people that "think" they know what network marketing is... they do not.
When you get down to it, this business is like every other business. We attract people, engage them and get them started with our products or services. Then we train them to become the best they can become in this business.
It's a good idea to set the expectations of your new team member. If they're thinking about making $100K within the next few days... their thinking is off.
You want to make sure you're both on the same page, with income goals... and how much production that's going to take on their end.
Our goal is to help them to have a positive business experience. Then work with them (hand-and-hand) to make sure they've got the system down... along with the correct mindset.
