There's no question if you're reading this that you want to grow a big and successful network marketing team.
Why else would you even be reading this right now??
The Grumbling and Complaining Because People Aren't Doing…
I cannot tell you how many times I've heard people grumbling and complaining with the statement,
“I can't seem to get my people to do anything.”
To be honest with you…there was a time way, way back in the day where I used to say the same thing. I used to writhe over my lack of growth, lack of team members and tiny little check.
This might come in different phrases.
“No one on my team is working!”
“How come I'm the only one showing up?”
“My team isn't duplicating. What's wrong?”
Building a successful network marketing team unfortunately isn't automatic. It takes having specific processes and systems in place.
Now…there are LOTS of reasons why a business might be growing, but I'm going to focus on one specific reason for this post.
The reality is this. In every business, some people show up and some don't. Some give it their all, and some give it nothing. Some people are all talk, while others are quiet and get stuff done.
If you're actively recruiting and sponsoring…meaning you know for a fact that you are building your business, and yet you're still frustrated and not seeing any significant duplication, this might be helpful for you.
Having said that, when it comes to building a successful network marketing team…you have to do two things.
#1. Embrace the fact that some people simply never do anything and there's nothing you can do about it. Don't stress yourself over it. It's not worth the wasted energy. Your time and energies are better invested elsewhere.
#2: Give the “willing” a fighting chance at success. The second part is making sure that those that are willing are given ample opportunity to take advantage of what's in front of them. If they don't have guidance or direction…even those with a huge desire to make it won't end up taking action.
Let me tell you a quick story that will put it into perspective for you.
The Contractor Who Told His Friend to Go Build a House
So…there's this contractor dude. And he has a buddy. His buddy has never built a house before. He doesn't know the slightest thing about building a foundation, framing a home, putting the roofing on, doing electrical and plumbing, finish work…he knows NOTHING. All he knows is he'd like to build a house.
So…this contractor guy says to his friend, “Hey John. Go to 123 Main Street. There's an open lot there that I own and it's ready to build. Go build it.”
The guy shows up at the lot. There's wood, tools, pipes, cement…all the stuff that he needs to build the house, but he has literally no clue where to even start. Even WITH the tools, he can't do it. WHY???? He's never been taught the PROCESSES that are involved in building a home.
Let's double dumb it down a bit. This guy is so naïve that he doesn't even know what a hammer or saw is used for. All he knows is that it's a tool…but doesn't know exactly how it's used in building a home.
You getting the picture??? The same thing goes with you in building a successful network marketing team.
You cannot expect someone who has never done network marketing…or even those that have to simply step in and start knocking it out of the park. MOST people you bring into your business need GUIDANCE and DIRECTION. They need to be told what to do, how to do it, and how to utilize the systems that are available to them in building a business.
Whoa? Wait.
What if you don't have systems or processes? Uh oh. Big…bad, uh oh and NO NO. Not good. No bueno.
Here's a little checking you need to be doing for yourself right about now.
If you constantly have people coming to you that don't have a clue what to do or how to do it, you are never going to see duplication or growth occur in your organization.
It's time to look at what you're doing and make 100% sure that you are giving people guidance and direction…otherwise they'll continue to drop like flies and you'll have a never-ending revolving door. You need to STOP the LEAK by plugging holes in your business. Here's some questions to ask yourself….
Do we have a System?
What is it?
Is it clear to all those who come on board?
What common questions do we get over and over again?
How can I make it easier for my new people to get up to speed quickly?
What is the primary reason or reasons why people are leaving my business?
Being an entrepreneur requires asking yourself some tough questions. You need to be a person who takes the time to step back a bit and look at the bigger picture of what you are doing or not doing. Take a step back. Analyze it. Make changes.
You've heard it. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again but expecting a different result.
It's true. If things aren't working, it's time for a change.
One last thing. When it comes to your follow up routine and being on top of your prospecting like a pro, I'd strongly suggest using The Fearless Networker System to help you do that. If you haven't taken it for a free test drive, you can click here to do it.
